The Mood Swings
Cade Ortego & The Mood Swings are a Nashville based band that formed in 2024. While they may be young, the Mood Swings are most inspired by the Motown-Soul era in the 60's and early 70's. They are a 6-piece band that includes a horn section and back-up vocals. Offering a full sound that is both nostalgic and current, the Mood Swings mix genres such as Soul, Pop, and Funk. They have never failed to get a crowd dancing due to their catchy melodies and electric stage presence.
In February and April of 2025, they released their debut singles “Sophia” and “Mood Swingin’”, and the band will release their first EP in May of 2025. During these releases, Cade Ortego & The Mood Swings will continue to travel around the South, impressing everyone that hears their music.

About Cade Ortego

Before his music career, Cade Ortego got his start as a Top 10 contestant on Season 6 of MasterChef Junior where he finished in 8th place after appearing on a dozen episodes aired on FOX Network. While preparing food for Gordon Ramsay was a highlight in his career, his heart was always in songwriting. In his senior year of high school, Cade released his debut album “Out of Time” and has been growing ever since. Unlike many artists his age, Cade has formed a style and a recognizable sound that is unique to himself.
Now, Cade is writing and releasing music with his band as Cade Ortego & The Mood Swings. This young group of talented musicians has already made waves in the Tennessee area, playing at stages like The Basement, The Underdog, Hop Springs, Eastside Bowl, The Cobra, The National Cornbread Festival, and more!
